All those in the maritime sector are encouraged to join industry peers at the Maritime Solent Summit to add their voice and expertise to discussions around strategic topics shaping the future of the industry.
On 15 April, a full line-up of heavyweight industry specialists, thought leaders, academia, and policymakers will come together at Portsmouth International Port for the largest cross-sector maritime industry event in the region.
Maritime Solent, a not-for-profit wholly focused on accelerating the growth of the sector within the Solent region, is bringing the industry together for this event, building on the success of the inaugural Summit last year. The full agenda includes, ports as economic engines, cyber risk and resilience, maritime defence and national security in a changing world and what devolution across Hampshire and the Solent means for our sector.
Stuart Baker, Chief Executive of Maritime Solent, said: “We’re bringing the industry and its leaders together. Providing a platform to host these pivotal discussions around the future of the key issues for our regional maritime sector, really understanding the opportunities our sector has to grow and drive regional prosperity.
“There is no other event in the region that brings together colleagues from the breadth of the regional maritime sector and provides the opportunity to network with senior industry leaders and those at the start of the maritime careers. We’re looking forward to welcoming the industry on 15 April.”
