Open from 10am – 4pm on Saturday 13 June, the open day will be a chance for the public to visit ships and see behind the scenes of the port.
To celebrate Portsmouth International Port’s 50th anniversary, the port will be opening its doors for a highly anticipated community open day. Following the success of previous events, Saturday 13 June will see the port open to the public from 10am – 4pm for a free, family friendly look at port operations.
There will be interactive stands from the port’s partners, a range of ships and vessels to get onboard and visit, and impressive machinery and cargo handling equipment to explore.
The open day will also celebrate the dedication of their staff and those of the port’s partners, alongside showcasing what the maritime industry does for Portsmouth, maritime employment, and ground-breaking sustainability initiatives.
Portsmouth International Port is the UK’s most successful local authority run port, and is owned and operated by Portsmouth City Council.
