Call for volunteers!
The Maritime Solent Career Partners Group been invited in to talk to teachers and tutors at Bitterne Park Secondary School in Southampton to help them better understand the maritime sector. This is in preparation for a special maritime themed project and contextualised learning in GCSE lessons and part of the Southampton Opportunity Passport project being led Darren Paffey MP. The session will include a small number of speaking opportunities followed by a larger scale speed networking session. I need about 20 people in total, this is a wonderful opportunity to help the staff at this school better understand the breadth of the sector but more importantly the entry pathways and opportunities open to their students.
